Why us

Basketball reads
on every camera.

Basketball is the sport with the highest per-player visibility. Twelve uniforms on a court, two cameras at every game, and a senior night photo every athlete carries for the rest of their life. The cut has to fit a 6-foot-5 forward and a 5-foot-9 point guard from the same template. The number has to read at half-court. The team has to walk out for warm-ups looking like a unit.

We build basketball kits in full sublimation by default. Numbers and names live in the fabric, not on top of it; the look does not crack, peel, or fade after a January road swing. Sport-cut sizing means the same template scales from a JV roster to a senior class without a re-template at the production stage.

Order in June. Fit session in late summer. Delivery before the first practice in November. Reorders for late transfers turn in seven business days during the season.

Decoration spec

Full sublimation,
no compromises.

Spec

A custom basketball jersey is full sublimation, end to end. Numbers, names, side panels, body color blocks, and trim all dye into the fabric in one pass. No tackle twill, no screen print, no embroidery on the body. The look stays sharp for a four-year senior class and reads cleanly on every camera angle in the gym.

Tackle twill is the wrong call on a basketball jersey because the weight changes how the fabric drapes on a player in motion, and the panels add a stitch line that catches sweat. Screen printing fails fast on a jersey that is washed thirty times in a season. Embroidery is reserved for warm-up jacket chest logos and travel polos where weight does not matter. Plus Effort builds basketball game uniforms in full sublimation as a default and matches the warm-ups + shooting shirts to the jersey art so the program reads as one unit on every visual surface.

Basketball season

June to November,
in five steps.

High school basketball season starts in mid-November in Virginia. Programs that want a fresh uniform set on the floor for the season opener place the order in June. The five-step calendar below is the path Plus Effort runs every program through.

1

June: discovery.

Call with the head coach after spring sports wrap. Roster, returning seniors, what the program is wearing now, identity decisions. Per-unit pricing back in 48 hours.

2

July: fit session.

On-campus sizing for every athlete in the program. We cover varsity and JV in the same session so the order ships against the full program roster, not just the top twelve.

3

August: proofs and sign-off.

Sublimation art proofs, color matches against gym banner colors, sign-off from the head coach and AD. Identity decisions (font, side panel pattern, names plate location) lock here.

4

September and October: production.

Full sublimation runs through the partner network. Sport-cut and women-cut versions sized to the spring fit session. QA against proof art before delivery.

5

November: delivery before tip-off.

Ship to the gym before the first practice. Walk the order with the head coach, confirm against the roster. Reorder window for late transfers stays open the first three weeks of the season.

How much do custom basketball uniforms cost in Virginia?

Custom Virginia high school basketball uniforms typically run $70 to $120 per player for a full game-day kit (jersey + shorts) in full sublimation. Per-unit cost depends on roster size, sport-cut versus standard cut, and whether warm-ups are included in the order.

How long does it take to get custom basketball jerseys made?

Six to eight weeks from proof sign-off to delivery for a fully sublimated basketball set. Programs typically order in June or July so the kit is on the floor for the November season opener.

Does Plus Effort outfit Virginia AAU and travel basketball programs?

Yes. Plus Effort outfits AAU, travel, and youth basketball programs across Virginia with the same sublimation spec used on high school and prep school sets, scaled to roster size and parent-budget realities. No volume gating below a varsity-team count.
